Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

We are committed to the principles of circular design - reducing waste, making products that last, keeping them in use and regenerating the natural environment at every point in the process.

Materials

Not all cotton is created equal. Our certified 100% Fairtrade organic cotton is a natural, biodegradable and renewable resource, grown using non-genetically modified seeds and without harmful chemicals.

Small lots of organic cotton are planted alongside food crops to feed farmer communities and promote soil fertility and biodiversity. Crops are rain-fed and hand-picked.

The cotton is processed using Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) approved inks and dyes, free from chlorine bleach, toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde and aromatic solvents.

It is a natural fibre that is breathable, durable and easy to care for.

Design

Creating each garment is a journey of patience and intention, from seed to final piece. We believe true design is rooted in longevity and versatility, which is why we prioritize single-material construction for circularity and embrace a minimalist approach to reduce waste.

Each step, from initial sketches to launch, takes over 14 months, allowing us to design every material from the yarn up. Through close collaboration with our suppliers, each garment reflects our commitment to quality and craftsmanship, creating pieces designed to endure and adapt with you.

Life Cycle

When your Narpine garment reaches the end of its wearable life, we encourage you to return it to us. All returned pieces are currently reprocessed and converted back into fibres. While these recycled fibres may not match the strength and durability of virgin cotton, they offer a far better alternative than ending up in landfills.
